Keroka Technical Training Institute was founded in the year 1991 as a resource center offering short-term courses to resource persons under the Ministry of Labour. In 2008, it was elevated to a Technical Training Institute (T.T.I) in the Ministry of Education Science and Technology offering more long-term and module courses.
Right from the time of arrival a student is welcomed with a process of induction into various aspects of the institute's life. This begins with registration after which those in need of accommodation are appropriately helped. There are limited facilities in both the Men's and Women's Hostels. General Catering Services are also provided but only in the Main Dining Hall. What follows next is a broad orientation of the Institute's rules and regulations pertaining to the conduct and behaviour of students'. Co-curricular, spiritual, as well as general guidance and counseling programmes are well provided. A critical objective of the above endeavours is to inculcate a culture of care to society and responsible dialogue with stakeholders.
Ultimately, there will be an added value element and the enhancement of the KETTI public image. The Dean of Students is responsible for students' social welfare, students' development programmes, students' organizations and the Chaplaincy services. The Institute has developed a comprehensive range of support services and resources for the benefit of students.
Greetings and welcome to Keroka Technical Training Institute. I am honored to have the opportunity to lead a College with such rich tradition and reputation for success. I am excited to bring my experience as a college leader to KETTI and work with all students and their families to ensure their experience is a memorable and valuable one. Along with Departments, staff, and administrators, I will work hard to continue the legacy of success and standard of excellence established at KETTI by building strong relationships with students, their families, and community partners. I will focus on providing all students with an excellent education within their chosen program of study and their extracurricular activities that will allow them to excel outside the classroom and promote their limitless potential. This will uphold the mission of challenging all students to become knowledgeable, productive, and socially conscious members of a global society.
Our Trainers will provide rigorous instruction as they engage all students with relevant tasks that will allow them to enhance their 21st century skills in a collaborative setting. As your Principal, it is important to me that everyone who steps onto our Institute is excited to be here! This attitude enables us to meet the challenges of academic excellence in a positive, fun, and nurturing manner. My door will always be open for you to share your thoughts and ideas.

In addition to excellent study facilities, we provide an environment that facilitates the creation of lifelong friendships.
In the Hospitality Department we have state of the art kitchens where theory taught in class is put into practice. We would like to see ourselves as the home of Electrical, mechanical and civil engineering serving the whole world and inspiring hope to every student that comes and leaves KETTI.
Mr. Kennedy N. Ombongi Deputy Principal - Academics
The Deputy Principal Academics deals with the educational issues of students while they are at Keroka technical training institute. My role is to ensure that the institution delivers the curriculum effectively and efficiently.
Among my duties is the coordination of teaching staff to ensure they prepare documents necessary for the delivery of academic programs and deliver their lectures. However, one of this office’s goals is to work towards the realization of teaching as an integral activity that does not require constant supervision and all involved to own the process.
To enhance the relationship between students, lecturers and support staff, I have embraced an open-door policy to enable easy exchange of ideas and student guidance. Students should therefore feel free to share their views with the aim of improving academic performance because we all work as a team. Our efforts in the past have enabled progressive improvement in academic performance and we are working towards our graduates achieving more distinctions in all the ten academic departments.
The institute cares about our potential students and sponsors, and would like them to know that we deliver our curriculum professionally to enable graduates solve real-world problems with the skills they gain. To our stakeholders especially in industries, we are grateful for the industrial attachments and internships you offer our students and urge you to continue supporting us. We also call upon the community to collaborate with us through event sponsorship and to interact with us more frequently. We would also like to appreciate our sponsors and guardians, for the good work they do through offering financial support to our student.
